Bobbie Reis has practiced almost exclusively in the area of family law since graduating from the University of Denver College of Law in 2005. During law school, Bobbie interned with the City Attorney’s Office in their Child Welfare Unit as well as the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect. Bobbie spent her final year in law school working in the University of Denver Civil Litigation Clinic and was the recipient of the Civil Litigation Clinical Practice Award.

Prior to entering private practice, Bobbie served as a law clerk for three domestic District Court judges in Adams and Arapahoe County, providing her with valuable insight into the interworkings of the domestic judicial system.

Bobbie is an experienced litigator who has extensive experience in facilitating divorce, parental responsibilities, adoption, child support, dissolution of domestic partnership proceedings and all post-decree modification matters. Bobbie is also qualified to prepare pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements, as well as, trust and estate planning documents to ensure you and your assets are appropriately protected.

Bobbie is also a level two trained collaborative practitioner. The collaborative practice is relatively new alternative to the litigation model, and is built on the premise of transparency with the goal of keeping families out of court. Bobbie is a member of the Colorado Collaborative Law Professionals (CCLP) and the Denver Collaborative Law Professionals practice group. Bobbie is also experienced in preparing and facilitating appeals. Prior to entering law school, Bobbie graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in literature and writing with a creative writing minor in 2000. These writing and analytical skills have been sharpened and focused in law school as well as throughout her professional career and she finds great satisfaction in the process of researching intricate legal issues and crafting strong arguments around the specific facts of the case.

Bobbie volunteers her time teaching free legal clinics offered for victims of domestic violence provided through Project Safeguard and Women in Crisis. Bobbie has also just started volunteering with the Rocky Mountain Children’s Center serving as a guardian ad litem in temporary protection order matters involving minor children.
